Absolute Home Improvements completed this siding, soffit, window, and door renovation on a residential home in West Allis, Wisconsin. The project focused on correcting aging exterior materials while improving durability, energy efficiency, and overall curb appeal.
The project began with the removal of the existing wood board-and-batten siding. During tear-off, damaged wall sheathing was identified and repaired to ensure a solid, weather-tight substrate. New Mastic Quest vinyl siding was then installed in the color Montana Suede, providing a clean, low-maintenance exterior designed to perform well in Wisconsin’s climate. To complete the roofline, Mastic vinyl soffit was installed in white, improving ventilation and protecting the home’s overhangs.
As part of the upgrade, three Alside Mezzo sliding windows with a ClimaTech glass package were installed to enhance energy efficiency and natural light. Each window was finished with exterior 2×4 casing and wrapped with white Mastic aluminum trim for long-term protection and a polished appearance. The project was completed with the installation of a Mastercraft 6-panel steel entry door and a Larson ¾-view storm door, delivering improved security, efficiency, and curb appeal.
Homes in West Allis experience seasonal weather extremes, including snow, rain, and temperature fluctuations that can impact older siding, windows, and doors. Upgrading to modern vinyl siding, energy-efficient windows, and properly installed entry doors helps protect the home while improving comfort and long-term performance.
