Absolute Home Improvements recently completed a comprehensive roof and gutter replacement project in Oak Creek, WI. The project involved several key steps to ensure a successful outcome. Firstly, the team removed two layers of shingles before installing an ice and water shield, along with synthetic felt. The homeowner then chose to use the highly-regarded Owens Corning Duration shingles in Brownwood for the roofing job.
To improve the ventilation system, the team upgraded to the Owens Corning VentSure ridge vent system. This system provides continuous ventilation, allowing for an efficient exchange of air, which helps to prevent moisture buildup and heat loss. As a final touch, the team installed a Royal Brown chimney flashing, which serves to provide an attractive and effective seal around the chimney.
In addition to the roofing component of the project, the team also replaced the gutter system. This involved the installation of seamless aluminum 5″ K-style gutters with heavy-duty hangers. The system was finished off with 3″ x 4″ white aluminum downspouts, which were expertly placed to ensure proper drainage.
