Absolute Home Improvements recently completed a full roof and gutter replacement for a residential home in Oak Creek. The project began with the removal of two existing layers of asphalt shingles to allow for proper preparation of the roofing system. Once the roof was stripped down, our crew installed ice and water shield along all critical areas, followed by synthetic felt underlayment to provide an added layer of protection against moisture.
The homeowner selected Owens Corning Duration architectural shingles in the color Brownwood, a popular choice for its durability, wind resistance, and rich dimensional appearance. To improve the overall performance of the roof, we upgraded the ventilation system to the Owens Corning VentSure ridge vent, which allows for consistent airflow through the attic space. This helps reduce heat buildup, manage moisture, and extend the life of the roof. The roofing system was completed with a Royal Brown chimney flashing to ensure a watertight seal and a clean finished look.
As part of this project, we also replaced the home’s gutter system. We installed seamless 5” aluminum K-style gutters with heavy-duty hidden hangers for long-term strength and reliability. The system was finished with 3” x 4” white aluminum downspouts, strategically placed to promote proper drainage and protect the home’s foundation. The project was completed efficiently, delivering both improved protection and enhanced curb appeal.
