Our team began by removing all existing layers of roofing from the sloped roof sections. Owens Corning Duration asphalt shingles were then installed in Harbor Blue, providing strong wind resistance and a distinctive architectural finish. To improve attic airflow and extend the life of the roofing system, the roof ventilation was upgraded to the Owens Corning SureVent ridge vent system. Two custom-bent aluminum chimney flashings finished in black were installed to properly seal the roof penetrations and prevent future leaks.
For the two porch areas with low-slope roofs, Mule-Hide .060 mil EPDM rubber roofing was installed. Custom bent transition flashings in black were added to ensure a watertight connection between roofing materials. The project was completed with the installation of custom-built, pressure-treated T-Rail railing systems on both porches, improving safety while complementing the home’s exterior.
