Absolute Home Improvements completed this roofing and exterior flashing project on a single-family home in Saint Francis, Wisconsin. The project began with a complete two-layer asphalt shingle tear-off, allowing our crew to properly inspect the roof deck and prepare the surface for new materials. Removing all existing layers ensured a solid foundation for reliable, long-term roof performance.
Following tear-off, we installed Owens Corning Duration 30-Year asphalt shingles in the color Onyx Black. This shingle was selected for its durability, dimensional appearance, and ability to perform well in Wisconsin’s changing weather conditions. The dark Onyx Black color provided a bold, updated look while enhancing overall curb appeal.
The project also included chimney and flashing upgrades. The chimney was tuck pointed, and a tuck point chimney flashing was installed to create a secure, watertight seal where the roof meets the masonry. Siding was removed from the dormers and the front of the home to allow for the installation of new tin wall flashings and header flashing. Once the flashing work was completed, the siding was re-installed to restore the home’s exterior finish. The project was completed efficiently, improving moisture protection and overall roof performance for this Saint Francis home.
Saint Francis is a lakeside community in Milwaukee County where homes are exposed to wind, rain, snow, and seasonal temperature changes throughout the year.
