Project Overview – South Milwaukee, WI
Absolute Home Improvements recently completed this multi-scope exterior project on a residential home in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The work included a full roof replacement, gutter replacement, chimney removal, and a complete chimney rebuild to restore the home’s exterior systems and long-term reliability.
Our team began by removing all existing layers of asphalt shingles to allow for a thorough inspection of the roof decking. Any damaged or deteriorated decking was repaired to ensure a solid, secure foundation for the new roofing system. Once the roof surface was properly prepared, Owens Corning Duration asphalt shingles were installed in Estate Grey, providing a durable, wind-resistant roofing system with a clean architectural appearance.
The gutter system was upgraded with seamless 5-inch aluminum gutters and 3-inch by 4-inch aluminum downspouts finished in white. This properly sized drainage system was installed to efficiently manage rainwater and snowmelt, helping protect the home’s siding and foundation. To complete the project, one unused chimney was carefully removed and properly patched, while a second chimney was rebuilt from the roofline to restore structural integrity and weather protection. The project was completed with precision, safety, and attention to detail.
